Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors started the 2021-22 season looking like legitimate title contenders, and they proved that was no fluke with their epic run throughout the season.

While the Warriors eventually slowed down after their hot start, they still showed everyone that they are the same championship team that dominated the mid-2010s. They were unstoppable right from the start of the playoffs, and even though the Memphis Grizzlies gave them quite a hard time, no one really doubted that they would win.

Now, the Dubs are in the NBA Finals for the sixth time in the last eight years.

So what gave Curry and the Warriors confidence that they can make a return to the NBA Finals? According to the sharpshooter himself, their performance in the closing stages of the 2020-21 season showed him that they were close to reaching their championship level again.

Of course the anticipated return of Klay Thompson and the prospect of having a healthy roster were huge for Curry and the Dubs. However, it was really that display in the final 20 games of the past campaign–during which they went 15-5 before losing in the play-in–that gave the Warriors “a lot of juice.”

The job is far from over for the Warriors, but fans got to love what they are seeing and hearing from the Warriors.

As long as Stephen Curry and the Dubs are confident and hungry, it will be hard to beat them.
