Against the Orlando Magic on Thursday, Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry tied James Harden's record of at least four 3-pointers in 13 consecutive games — the longest streak in NBA history.

Per ESPN, Harden achieved the milestone in the 2018-19 season during his time as a member of the Houston Rockets.

Curry's streak started on Jan. 20 in their 121-99 win over the San Antonio Spurs. His high-mark so far is a total of 11 3-pointers in their 134-132 loss to the Dallas Mavericks wherein he scored 57 points.

Harden, for his part, started his 3-point streak on Dec 18. 2018 in their 102-97 win over the Utah Jazz. His single-game career high was a total of 10 3-pointers in their overtime thriller win over the Warriors.

It's been a stellar comeback year so far for Curry. Last month, he surpassed NBA icon Reggie Miller for the no. 2 all-time in 3-pointers made in history. It was highly-expected that Curry will pass Miller sooner than later. Up next on the list is Ray Allen. And according to calculations made by Brian Martin of nba.com, Curry could surpass Allen in just over 100 games if he maintains his average of 4.1 3-pointers per game.

More than the numbers and records, Curry will always be known for changing how the game is played. Before his sudden rise, 3-pointers weren't seen as the offensive weapon they're treated as now. Teams would opt to feed the post and still integrate long two-pointers in their arsenal. But when Curry and the Golden State era came around, everyone tried to ride the bandwagon. A surge in 3-pointers was observed. Big men too joined the fray.

Curry has a chance to extend his streak to 14 games and claim the NBA record on Saturday when his Warriors face off against James Harden and the Brooklyn Nets.
