There has been some talk out there that Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is now entering the twilight of his career — that he's already passed his peak. Well, if you ask his long-time trainer, you'd be surprised that he actually believes that it's quite contrary,

According to Brandon Payne, who has been working with Curry since 2011, he firmly believes that we have yet to see the best of the former back-to-back MVP winner:

“He’s continuing to get better, and he’s going to continue to get better for a while,” Payne, told Scott Osler of the San Francisco Chronicle. “That (progress) isn’t slowing down any time soon. Stephen is, at 32 and 33, where a lot of guys are at age 27, 28. He’s still getting bigger, he’s still getting stronger, he’s still getting faster, so his improvement’s going to continue.”

That's absolutely great to hear for the Dubs faithful, but a truly scary thought for the rest of the NBA. Most of us didn't even believe that Curry could recapture his dominant MVP form from a few years back, let alone imagine that he actually had another level beyond that.

The only other guy who understands Curry's body as much as (or perhaps even more) than he does is his own trainer. In this light, Payne confirmed that he thinks Curry hasn't even reached his peak yet:

“A lot of guys, they just get to that peak physical level a little bit earlier, then they kind of top out. Stephen hasn’t topped out yet,” Payne added.

Yikes.

For what it's worth, Curry, who is currently in the conversation for this season's MVP award, averaged 30.1 points (on 50.4 percent shooting), 5.4 rebounds, 6.7 assists, and 2.1 steals, while also draining 5.1 triples per game on a 45.4-percent clip during his 2015-16 MVP year for the Warriors.

Is it truly possible that Curry can get even better than that?
