After being on top of the NBA for so long, Steve Kerr and the Golden State Warriors haven't had the best of years in 2019-20. After missing the playoffs for the first time in eight seasons, the Warriors were hoping to get back to championship form and make a run for a postseason spot this coming 2020-21.

However, the basketball gods have been looking elsewhere and it seems that luck hasn't really been on their side.

Last week, it was reported that two members of the Warriors tested positive for COVID-19. On Monday, as their training camp began, two key members in Draymond Green and James Wiseman didn't make it to practice, leading to speculations that they caught COVID-19.

When the three-time NBA champion coach was asked why Green and Wiseman weren't on practice on Monday, he had the simplest of answers.

Prior to the training camp, Steve Kerr and the Warriors were already dealt a huge blow when Klay Thompson tore his Achilles that will sideline him for the rest of the 2020-21 season. Though they were able to grab a few crucial pieces during the offseason, it will be challenging to be at a championship level without Thompson. Things get extremely hard if indeed Green and Wiseman misses time due to the virus.

It's next man up for Stephen Curry and the Warriors, as it has been for the past few years.
