Andrew Wiggins is ecstatic about the opportunity to play a full season for the Golden State Warriors and possibly share the backcourt with a fit-again Stephen Curry. The 25-year-old swingman came over to The Bay back in February but shared limited floor time with the two-time MVP, who only suited up for five games in 2019-20.

Wiggins' excitement was evident at the start of the Warriors' training camp, as he discussed what it means to have Curry back on the floor for the team. Here's what the 6-foot-7 Canadian had to say about Curry in a video conference call on Tuesday.

Via Marcus White of Yahoo Sports:

“I'm very excited having Steph Curry back. He's someone that can do everything for us. Once he steps on the floor, just his presence is a game-changer. Him on the floor is a game-changer. Just getting a chance to play alongside him and learning, seeing how he does certain stuff, that's most important.”

Andrew Wiggins, along with a 2021 first-round draft pick (top 3 protected) and a 2021 second-rounder, was acquired by the Warriors in exchange for D'Angelo Russell, Jacob Evans III, and Omari Spellman before the trade deadline.

Although he showed glimpses of potential stardom in his years for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Wig never really reached the high ceiling pundits saw out of him. The Dubs brass, however, still put their utmost trust in the young, athletic specimen and added him to the team's nucleus.

Wiggins' impact was felt right away, as he notched 19.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.4 steals in 12 games. Moreover, he assumed the role of the team's top scorer with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson nursing injuries. As Thompson is once again set to miss another full season, Wiggins is expected to be Curry's second-in-command on offense.
