In his first game back after missing nearly six weeks, Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors showed no signs of rust. In Game 2 against the New Orleans Pelicans, Curry was back to his old self, draining a 30-foot three-pointer.

This marks Curry's postseason debut. He missed the last several games of the regular season and the entire first round of the playoffs due to an MCL sprain he suffered on March 23.

Without Curry, the Warriors went 9-7, including 4-6 to finish the regular season and 5-1 in the playoffs.

Prior to Game 2, head coach Steve Kerr revealed that Curry's minutes won't be restricted despite playing in his first game after a long while. Usually, teams take precaution on their superstars, opting to make them play limited minutes after coming back from an injury.

As reported by Uche Amako of Express, Kerr said:

“It is not about putting a number on his minutes. It is really about his rhythm. Whether he gets tired quickly.

“If he does we will take him out and we’ll have to figure out what that means in terms of when to play him, with whom, what the rotation will look like. So we’ll figure it out.”

In his 9th year in the league, Curry logged in 26.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 6.1 assists, in 51 games. Several minor injuries throughout the course of the season forced him to sit out. Now, he seems a hundred percent ready to defend their title, and claim his third ring.
