Just three weeks into the NFL season, there is a substantial amount of injuries fantasy football players have to weigh. Luckily for you, this article will help find viable replacements for key players sidelined with injuries.

Due to injuries to Drew Brees, Ben Roethlisberger, and Nick Foles, the NFL featured 20 starting quarterbacks who are 26 years old or younger in Week 3. Among them, Daniel Jones provided some fantasy owners with an impressive debut last Sunday.

The New York Giants' rookie quarterback totaled 386 yards and four touchdowns on his way to posting 33.4 fantasy points in Week 3. If you owned Brees or Roethlisberger, you may have taken a calculated risk on Jones this past Sunday.

Let's dive into who has a chance of being inactive or active in Week 4, plus possible replacements for them. Here is your Week 4 fantasy football injury report.

QBs:

Panthers' Cam Newton (Out): For the second consecutive week, the Carolina Panthers will be without Cam Newton under center. The veteran quarterback is still dealing with a foot injury he sustained during the preseason.

As a result, Kyle Allen will get his second-straight start for Carolina after starting in his first game of the season in Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals. The second-year quarterback helped the Panthers secure their first win of the season by throwing for 261 yards and four touchdowns. Allen is a plausible fill-in option in Week 4 versus the Houston Texans.

Saints' Drew Brees (Out): The New Orleans Saints will take part in their second game with Drew Brees on the mend from thumb surgery. Prior to the Saints' Week 3 game against the Seattle Seahawks, Brees underwent surgery on his thumb.

The timetable for his return has been reported as four to six weeks. The 40-year-old quarterback believes he can expedite his return if everything in his recovery goes according to plan. Nevertheless, Teddy Bridgewater will start once again in Week 4 after scoring 23.3 fantasy points last Sunday.

Lions' Matthew Stafford (Active): After practicing all week with no limitations, Matthew Stafford made an unexpected appearance on the Detroit Lions' injury report on Friday with a hip injury. The Lions' franchise quarterback is currently listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, but he's expected to play.

Despite being listed on the injury report with a hip issue, the belief is that Stafford is dealing with some back problems. As some may know, the longtime starter of the Lions dealt with back problems in the past.

Possible Replacements: Kyle Allen, Daniel Jones, Jacoby Brissett

RBs:

Chiefs' Damien Williams (Out): The Chiefs will travel to Detroit to take on the Lions without Damien Williams. He will miss his second straight game with a knee injury.

On the other hand, LeSean McCoy has been able to practice in full on Thursday and Friday. McCoy will likely get the nod as the starter, but he'll share the workload with Darrell Williams once again this Sunday.

Giants' Saquon Barkley (Out): This will be the first week the Giants will be without Saquon Barkley since 2017. The second-year running back sprained his ankle in Week 3 and is expected to miss over a month.

With Barkley missing an extended period of time, Wayne Gallman will assume the starting spot in Week 4. Gallman is definitely a viable replacement option versus a Washington Redskins defense that has allowed 142 rushing yards per game.

Bills' Devin Singletary (Inactive): The Buffalo Bills won in Week 3 despite Devin Singletary being sidelined with a hamstring injury. The rookie rusher has been a limited participant in practice on Thursday and Friday and is listed as inactive for Sunday.

Possible replacements: Wayne Gallman, Chris Thompson, Darrell Williams

WRs:

Chargers' Mike Williams (Out): The Los Angeles Chargers have a favorable matchup in Week 4, but Mike Williams won't get a chance to show out on Sunday. The No. 2 wideout for the Chargers has missed practices all week with a back injury and is ruled out.

Along with Williams, Travis Benjamin is doubtful to suit on Sunday as well. Therefore, we could see Dontrelle Inman join Keenan Allen at wide receiver in Week 4.

Cowboys' Michael Gallup (Out): The Dallas Cowboys' passing attack has considerably improved to begin the season. However, for the second consecutive game, they will be without Michael Gallup on the outside.

Gallup is still dealing with a knee injury and has already been ruled out for Sunday night's game against the New Orleans Saints. Expect to see more of Devin Smith in the offense again for the second straight game.

Patriots' Julian Edelman (Active): Julian Edelman is still Tom Brady's favorite target this season, but he suffered a chest injury last Sunday and has been limited in practice all week.

Presently, Edelman is expected to give it a go on Sunday since he's active.

Redskins' Terry McLaurin (Out): One of the pleasant surprises in fantasy football this season is rookie wide receiver Terry McLaurin. The Redskin wideout has delivered three straight games of having at least 50 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Sadly, McLaurin didn't practice on Friday after being limited on Thursday due to a hamstring issue, and he's been ruled out against the Giants.

Colts' TY Hilton (Out): Hilton was ruled out on Sunday ahead of the team's matchup against the Oakland Raiders.

Possible replacements: Kenny Stills, Paul Richardson, Devin Smith

TEs:

Bears' Trey Burton (Questionable): Trey Burton has played in the past two games after missing Week 1 with an injury. After being active the last two weeks, Burton reappeared on the injury report this week with a groin injury.

The Bears' tight end was a full participant in practice until Friday, when he was limited in his activity. Regardless, if he plays or not, it's tough to be confident in starting Burton against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4.

Ravens' Mark Andrews (Active): Just three weeks into the season, Mark Andrews has been very productive for fantasy football owners. A foot injury has somewhat limited the Baltimore Ravens' tight end in recent weeks.

Nonetheless, he hasn't missed a game and John Harbaugh seems confident that he'll play on Sunday, and he's active for the matchup against the Cleveland Browns.

Possible replacements: Will Dissly, Vernon Davis, Eric Ebron
