The Chicago White Sox are cruising along at 6-3, despite being without outfielder AJ Pollock and starter Lucas Giolito due to injuries. However, it appears both players are in line to return to the team this weekend for their AL Central showdown with the Minnesota Twins.

This is big for the White Sox. Pollock, who was acquired from the Los Angeles Dodgers at the beginning of April in exchange for Craig Kimbrel, has only played two games so far after attending to the birth of his child and then sustaining a hamstring injury which landed him on the 10-day IL. He raked in both appearances though, going 4 for 7 with a double.

As for Giolito, he was dealing with an abdomen problem after leaving his first start of the season against the Tigers on April 8th. Thankfully, it's nothing serious and he's likely to take the mound on Sunday. The big righty is arguably one of the White Sox's best arms in their rotation and with Lancy Lynn currently on the shelf, it's crucial Giolito is healthy at the top-end of the staff.

Chicago plays a double-header against the Cleveland Guardians on Wednesday after Monday and Tuesday's games were postponed due to rain.
