The third-round clash between Nick Kyrgios and Stefanos Tsitsipas in the Wimbledon was an eventful one, to say the least, especially with the contest getting heated at moments throughout Saturday. Despite that, though, the Australian star has nothing but love for his Greek opponent.

Kyrgios admitted that things can be frustrating on the court, and for someone known for his short temper and on-court outbursts, he completely understood Tsitsipas' situation. Still, after the game, he has all the love and respect for his “brother.”

Nick Kyrgios won the contest in four sets, losing the opening frame before winning three straight–6-7(2), 6-4, 6-3, 7-6(7). However, as mentioned it is not without any controversy, with the world no. 40 arguing with the umpire and even calling for a supervisor to make his case about a Stefanos Tsitsipas violation.

During the second set of the Wimbledon showdown, Tsitsipas was seen smashing the ball to the crowd, albeit lightly, and hitting someone. Kyrgios wanted his 23-year-old opponent to be defaulted for the action and even called for “all the Supervisors” to get to the bottom of the issue.

Kyrgios also used Novak Djokovic as an example, referencing the tennis superstar being defaulted in the US Open 2020 for what he says is a similar to violation to what Tsistsipas did in their Wimbledon clash

“He just hit a ball in the f****** crowd, are you dumb?” Kyrgios said about Tsistipas' violation, per Express.uk. “What classifies as that then? You can hit a ball in the crowd and not get hit with something? So now they have to be hurt? That's a disgrace. You just change the rules whenever you want. Bring your supervisor out.

“What the f*** are you talking about, bro. It happened right there. What are you guys talking about? Bring out more supervisors, I'm not done. Bring them all out.”

Kyrgios and Tsitsipas have a fairly close relationship, so it doesn't seem like what happened in the game will be a big issue moving forward. Their next meeting, however, will definitely be a must-watch.
