Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal might finally be able to crack his way into the All-Star starting lineup for the Eastern Conference. With that said, head coach Scott Brooks couldn't be happier after the first round of voting results were released.

“I thought it was very cool. Well-deserved,” the Wizards coach said of the first turnout of results, per Chase Hughes of NBC Sports. “The guy is one of the best players in basketball. Guards, forwards, centers; it doesn’t matter. He’s an all-pro player. It was great to see.”

Beal has made the All-Star game twice in his career; unfortunately, he has yet to be named a starter. The Wizards star is currently the leader for all guards in the East, as he sits in front of Brooklyn Nets' Kyrie Irving by less than 200,000 votes.

James Harden is the only other guard in the East to have over 1 million votes, and Bradley Beal has 1,273,817 votes as the first round of results was released earlier in the week.

Beal made headlines with a 60-point outburst against the Philadelphia 76ers in January, as he went 20-of-35 and 7-of-10 from beyond the arc. He has easily been the best player in the Nation's Capitol through the first chunk of the year.

It's much deserved for Beal as Brooks said, as he currently leads the entire NBA with 34.8 points per game despite the disappointing start to the year for the Wizards.

The fans, players and media ultimately decide who makes the starters for each conference, but it's a reassuring sign that Beal is leading all guards in the East up to this point.
