Bradley Beal played just 40 games this season before being forced to undergo surgery to address an injury on his left wrist. It's now been nearly three months since the Washington Wizards star went under the knife and he is now finally able to take the next major step in his rehab.

This report comes via Wizards insider Josh Robbins of The Athletic:

Bradley Beal has been cleared to begin rehab work on his left wrist, a league source told @TheAthleticNBA. Beal tore the scapholunate ligament in the wrist on Jan. 29 and underwent surgery on Feb. 10. Beal's cast, as well as the pins in his wrist, were removed yesterday.

This is a major step for Beal who the Wizards are hoping will be available to start the 2022-23 season. No official timetable has been announced just yet, but with the start of the new season still six months away, the 28-year-old should have more than enough time to get ready.

It is important to note that Beal has a player option on his current deal for the upcoming season. He refused to sign a massive extension with the Wizards last January with the hope of securing an even bigger deal. It doesn't sound like Beal is going anywhere, but at this point, you'll never know.
