On the same day that the Washington Wizards (42-34) finally got All-Star point guard John Wall back from injury, head coach Scott Brooks' Wizards managed to clinch a playoff spot with a 107-93 victory over the Charlotte Hornets at Capital One Arena.

After a 27-game absence, coach Brooks was elated to finally have his star point guard back in the lineup on Saturday.

“Trust me, I didn't know how we would respond,” coach Brooks said after the victory, via Candace Buckner of the Washington Post. “We still have a chance to be in the playoffs. We're in a good position. John is excited to come back and we're looking forward to having him back.”

Wall, who has been out of the lineup since Jan. 25 after undergoing arthroscopic left knee surgery, finally made his return to the lineup today and balled out.

The Wizards, who went 15-12 without Wall in their lineup, still were just 0.5 games ahead of both the Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks entering Saturday night's contest.

“We don't know who we play and we really don't care who we play. We just want to play well going into the playoffs,” coach Brooks said.

In 33 minutes of action in his first game back, Wall had a solid 15 points on 6-of-17 shooting from the field, a game-high 14 assists, three rebounds and one steal on the night.

With Wall now back in the lineup, how much damage can the Wizards cause in the playoffs? Are they a force to be reckoned with going forward?
