When you talk about Davis Bertans, dunking certainly isn't the first thing that comes to mind for most people. The 6-foot-10 Latvian is known more for his elite shooting ability, particularly from the three-point line than anything involving power or points in the paint.

However, in a game against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday, the Washington Wizards power forward proved that he can be much more than a shooter or a finesse player.

Davis Bertans was the recipient of a smooth bounce pass from backup point guard Ish Smith in the first quarter. Cutting baseline, Bertans rose up and slammed it on Atlanta's DeAndre' Bembry.

The fourth-year pro has been one of the biggest surprises of the NBA season so far and a bright spot for a Wizards team that has won just 12 of their 37 games this year.

This season, Bertans is averaging a career-high 15.4 points per game to go along with 4.9 rebounds while shooting 43.4 percent on over eight three-point attempts per game.
