Jeff Teague of the Minnesota Timberwolves wants Indiana players to follow in Los Angeles Lakers' forward LeBron James' footsteps in opening a new school.

Teague's Instagram account is currently set to private as of writing, but Scott Agness of Vigilant Sports uploaded a screenshot of the Wolves guard and his message:

When news broke out during James' unveiling of the school institution, many NBA players and fans commended the Los Angeles Lakers star for his initiative. Now, a few days after, NBA players are trying to follow suit, even in their own little way.

The league and its players are not strangers to reaching out to their community. Some take part in the building of houses, join basketball camps, teach children, or donate a part of their salary to various institutions.

James' move, however, took it up a notch. And given his influence and power, it certainly will create a ripple not just among NBA players, but to athletes all over the world.

In an interview with Rachel Nichols of ESPN, James spoke about the power of using his voice:

Well, for me, I have a voice. I have a platform, and I have so many kids and — not only kids but also adults that look for guidance and look for someone to lead them at a time when they feel like their voice isn't powerful. And when you see something that's unjust and you see something that's wrong and you see something that's trying to divide us as a race or as a country, then I feel like my voice can be heard and speak volumes.
