Two new Amethyst cards can be earned by players for use in MyFACTION, and it's the father and son duo Rey and Dominik Mysterio.
When the new MyFACTION Live Events roll out this Friday, two of them will feature a pair of Amethyst Live Event Reward cards to add to your collection. These two cards are the first two earnable cards for the WWE 2K24 MyFACTION game mode of Amethyst rarity, making them great targets to expand your collection.
Getting these two cards will definitely boost your collection as having two Amethysts in your roster will help in completing content in the game mode. Paired with the upcoming Umaga and Roman Reigns '24 cards, these two are just among the great new cards coming to MyFACTION that are must-earn cards for players.
How to Unlock Amethyst Rey Mysterio '06 Live Event Reward
The WWE 2K24 MyFACTION Live Event “Betraying Rey – The Batista Chapter” requires the Superstar Series I Gold Rey Mysterio card, which isn't very hard to unlock. Players who have been playing MyFACTION since day one have probably opened this card from packs before, but if not, the card isn't too expensive to directly purchase from the Card Market.
The match is an Extreme Rules match against Batista, which should make this match easier to beat than usual. With the Rey Mysterio '06 card being the apex tier reward, this means players will have to complete the match multiple times before guaranteeing the card as a reward.
Getting this card is absolutely a good idea. It's the first Amethyst card you can get in the game, after all. At 86 OVR rating, having this card in your roster will make it easy to clear other content moving forward. The card has three sideplate slots, a Low Blow Payback, which isn't always usable in matches, but has the following strong badges:
- Silver Sting Like a Bee – increases light and heavy strike damage
- Gold Quick Climber – increases climbing speed
- Sapphire Lionheart – recover some damage after executing a finisher
- Sapphire Dive Bomber – increases dive damage
Unfortunately, while this Amethyst card is based on the Forty Years of WrestleMania version of Rey Mysterio, the MyFACTION card isn't a Persona card, and thus won't allow the player to unlock the character outside of the game mode without the DLC.
How to Unlock Amethyst “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio Live Event Reward
“Dirty” Dominik Mysterio is also an Amethyst card you can earn in the next few days through the “Betraying Rey – The Dirty Dom Chapter” Live Event. This new card needs the previously-mentioned Rey Mysterio '06 Amethyst card to unlock. You'll have to use that card to win a ladder match against Dom Dom, with the reward for winning is unlocking the Amethyst Live Events Reward card.
Again, this card is an apex tier reward, so players might need to win multiple times before securing the new card.
“Dirty” Dominik Mysterio is an 86-OVR Striker, making him on-par with his father. He also has a Low Blow Payback and three sideplate slots, as well as the following badges:
- Silver Sting Like a Bee – increases light and heavy strike damage
- Gold Merciless Opportunist – increases damage against stunned opponents
- Sapphire Pain Train – increases running attack damage
- Sapphire Endurance – recovers some damage when kicking out of a pin
Honestly, Dom's kit isn't that impressive, but the stats still make him worth the hassle.
