Chris Jericho is a big fan of being on television. He consistently finds ways to get himself over on both AEW Dynamite and Rampage – even as a commentator – appeared on shows like Dancing with the Stars, The Eric Andre Show, and Hot Ones during his time in WWE, and has even found a second life as the voice of Darkside of the Ring, the Viceland show that he has narrated since Season 2.

So, when Jericho took the Jerishow on the road to New York City to appear on a Season 9 episode of Impractical Jokers – who are also part of the Turner Broadcasting oeuvre – it was only a matter of time before hilarity ensued.

Fortunately, as with his old pal Eric Andre, who also guested on an episode in Season 9 and had a very funny segment involving a fake “gotcha-style show,” Jericho did not disappoint, as he delivered a particularly unusual punishment centered around Brian “Q” Quinn sitting in an ice bath while Sal's mother attempted to do office tasks like plugging in a VCR.

Did the segment really rely on the recognizable aspects of Jericho's character? Eh, not really; Jericho didn't really sing, shout, or put someone in the Walls of Jericho, but it certainly was fun to see the inaugural champion of AEW laugh along as his new pals tormented their freezing friend – especially since it could reportedly lead to an angle in AEW down the line if Tony Khan wants to lend his ring to the Jokers.

So, in honor of Chris Jericho's appearance on Impractical Jokers, and his forging of a new, lifelong enemy in Q, let's look back on some of the more interesting wrestler appearances on reality television in recent memory and see how they stack up.

These WWE/AEW stars found further exposure outside of the squared circle.

3. WWE invades Silent Library

On one day back in 2011, six WWE superstars – Dolph Zigler, Chris Masters (NWA's Chris Adonis), Trent Beretta (AEW), Caylen Croft (retired), JTG (NWA), and Curt Hawkins (Impact's Brian Meyers) – entered a library… and hilarity ensued.

Taking part in a series of increasingly ridiculous challenges that needed to be done silently – hence the name – including pelting Zigler with Tennisballs attached to his waist, a glasses-wearing child attempting to hit a baseball off of Masters' head, and a man in a Cardinal costume – Chavo Guerrero Jr., if you can believe it – puking yellow liquid into Beretta's mouth, the sextet walked away from their afternoon with $4,400, or $734 each and had a cool story to tell back at the Performance Center.

Frankly, this appearance deserves more credit, as no other reality appearance on this list features this many wrestlers or a segment where five of them had clamps affixed to their nipples only to have small, wooden horses pull them off. Even now, that statement reads as rather ridiculous, even with the video right there to prove it true.

2. For Bill Goldberg, it's always Knife or Death.

While it would be easy to give a spot on a list like this to Hulk Hogan, who practically revolutionized the reality television industry alongside Ozzie Osbourne with his Hogan Knows Best show, why not instead show some love to his fellow WCW staple, Bill Goldberg, who has been very active on television when he isn't wrestling million-dollar matches in WWE or hawking jobs as a “Cheif Donus Maker” for Dodge.

From The Longest Yard to Santa's Slay, to an appearance on The Goldbergs – no relation – Goldberg has been a fixture of the silver screen big and small for years now, including this time hosting 19 episodes of Knife or Death, a spinoff series of History Channel's Forged in Fire.

Now what, you may ask, qualifies the former WCW champion to host a show about cutting things with knives? Frankly, I have no clue, but for a show coded to be about “badass” people going through a “badass” obstacle course with “badass” knives, there aren't many hosts who exude that energy more than Bill Goldberg.

1. The Miz on, well, everything.

If there was no reality television – or at least no MTV – there wouldn't be The Miz.

Initially beginning his time as a public person as a member of The Real World Season 10, Miz has appeared on no fewer than 25 different television shows in roles both scripted and not, and even has his own reality show Miz and Mrs. on USA, which gets promoted ad nauseam on RAW since the longest-running wrestling show on television also serves as it's lead-in show.

Say what you will about The Miz in the ring – just ask Daniel Bryan/Bryan Danielson – but even Chris Jericho has to be jealous of Mike Mizanin's television output, as he even ended up on Impractical Jokers well become Season 9.
