Rising country music sensation Zach Bryan found himself in legal trouble on Tuesday evening as he was arrested by local authorities in his home state of Oklahoma.

In an Instagram story captioned “On the road again, gonna go see the birds win,” implying the Philadelphia Eagles (which Zach Bryan is a fan of). Although, soon after, news outlets were quick to find that he was apprehended and arrested.

Bryan's arrest left fans shocked and defensive, with many taking to social media to express their concern for the troubled artist. The circumstances surrounding the altercation as explained by the artist in an Instagram story, revolve around questionable actions taken with a certain police officer.

The events begin–as explained by Zach Bryan–going a little over the speed limit which led to an officer asking for identification and address. Apprehensively, the singer gave his information to the police officer. The arrest did not happen that day but three days after when he encountered another police officer when driving to Boston to watch the NFL game.

The singer explains how it was his security guard that gets pulled over and the actions that he took was what led to his arrest. Concerned for his security, he steps out of the car to ask what was going on. This was followed by the police officer taking actions against Bryan's inquiry.

“The cop comes up to me and says ‘sir get back in your vehicle.' I'm like, ‘I'm not the one getting pulled over,' like,” the singer continues. “He said ‘get back in your vehicle. I'm gonna have to take you to jail.' and like a dumbass, I was like, ‘take me to f***ing jail? What do you mean?'”

Zach Bryan then admits that he was a little bit disrespectful though did not think he was above the law despite not entirely knowing what the arrest was for at the time. “In reality, they were just doing their jobs; I was just upset,” the singer says.

The singer was only there for a few hours before being released which followed his apology on Twitter and Instagram. “I was just an idiot and I'll take the fall for it. I'm a grown man and I shouldn't have behaved like that.”
