The Green Bay Packers are coming off of a 13-3 season where they lost in the NFC Championship Game. It was the second year in a row where they were one win away from making it to the Super Bowl. The roster is very talented, but all of the media attention has been going to the Aaron Rodgers rumors.

Rodgers' future with the Packers is uncertain as he still hasn't shown up to the facility. He is coming off of an MVP season which was perhaps the best of his career. It was his 3rd MVP award and he threw for 4,299 yards along with 48 touchdowns and only 5 interceptions. The Packers' success this season could bank on whether or not Rodgers plays this season.

While Rodgers is great the roster has many great players. Here are 2 underrated sleepers on the Packers roster heading into the 2021 NFL season.

2. Linebacker Rashan Gary

Rashan Gary was a first-round pick back in 2019 but hasn't had a ton of playing time. Gary improved his production in his second season as he got 5 sacks and 11 quarterback hits. He has a ton of potential and will see more time on the field this season. He saw an increase in time on the field last year and proved that he deserves time on the field. Gary could make an elite trio of pass rushers as he will be paired with Preston Smith and Za'Darius Smith.

What makes Gary great is his ability to set a strong edge. He is great at the point of attack due to his combination of strength and speed. Gary has all the tools to be an elite pass rusher in the league and could have a breakout season.

Gary is a very underrated player on the team and could break out for the Packers this season.

He is an explosive athlete that is great in both man and zone coverage. Savage Jr. has the ability to run man coverage in the slot against receivers which is rare for young safeties. His speed allows him to make up for blown coverages which makes him a dynamic talent. He is good in run support due to his ability to fill the gaps to stop the runner.

Look for Savage Jr. to have a great 2021 season and make a name for himself.

The Packers could be a Super Bowl contender once again this season if Rodgers returns. They have one of the best offenses in the league and a very underrated defense. With a new defensive coordinator in Joe Barry coming in, the Packers' defense could improve drastically. They brought in cornerback Eric Stokes in the first round who could help the secondary become elite. The secondary will now include superstar Jaire Alexander, Stokes, Savage Jr., and Adrian Amos. This new defensive system will be able to utilize every player to the best of their abilities.

Look for the Packers to compete for a Super Bowl this season as long as Rodgers returns.
