Favorites to win 2021 FedEx Cup The Northern Trust odds

Jon Rahm (+1000). It’s been a while since Rahm last saw action, which was at the 2021 The Open Championship last month. He had a T3 there, preceding his win in the 2021 US Open. Rahm is 4 of 5 in his last five starts and has made the cut 18 times in 19 starts overall this season. But you can forget all about that and just remember that he is the world’s top-ranked player, heading into the 2021 FedEx Cup Playoffs. In addition to that, Rahm has cracked the top 10 12 times this season.  Rahm, who is fifth in the FedEx Cup season standings with 2,003 points has experience playing at Liberty National Club. In the 2019 edition of The Northern Trust, the Spaniard finished third with a score of 14-under 270.

Collin Morikawa(+1600). Morikawa will be coming in hot at the 2021 The Northern Trust. For one, he owns the most points among the 125-man field with 2,171, thanks to a fantastic season that just keeps on getting better for the 24-year-old pro. Morikawa has a pair of wins already this season. He topped the World Golf Championships-Workday Championship at The Concession back in February and hit paydirt months later by winning The Open Championship at Royal St. George’s. That should be enough momentum for him to make louder noises this week at Liberty National Club, where he finished just 19th at 2019 The Northern Trust.

Dustin Johnson (+1900). Should you still trust DJ? Yes, because Dustin Johnson is Dustin Johnson. Even though the 2020-21 PGA TOUR season hasn’t been fruitful for him, Johnson still managed to collect a total of 1,510 FedEx Cup points — good for 17th overall, heading into the 2021 Northern Trust. Spoiled Dustin Johnson fans may be frustrated over his lack of victories this season (he won just once so far), but he still has made the cut 15 times in 18 starts. Outside of his recent missed cut at the 2021 3M Open, Johnson has looked solid over his last several starts. He’s gone 6 of 7 in his last seven starts, with him making it inside the top 10 thrice during that stretch.

Sleepers to win 2021 FedEx Cup The Northern Trust odds

Sergio Garcia (+8000). Here’s another Spaniard to watch out for this week. Garcia has missed the cut eight times this season but at his price, he’s got a pretty nice value for bettors to think about taking. Garcia has also made the cut in all his last four starts, including a couple of T19s at the US Open and at The Open. It should also be noted that he’s already got a win this season. He won the Sanderson Farms Championship back in October 2020.

Matt Wallace (+20000). From a Spaniard, we got an Englishman in the form of Wallace. Ranked 58th in the world and with 502 FedEx Cup points, Wallace rebounded from back-to-back missed cuts at the Memorial Tournament and at the US Open by settling for a T40 at Royal St. George’s last month. He has not played a tournament since and has not won thus far this season, but has two top 10s. His best finish to date was a third-place performance at the Valero Texas Open.

Final 2021 FedEx Cup The Northern Trust Prediction & Pick

Dustin Johnson can’t just let this season go by without creating a huge wave, and that could come this week in New Jersey. DJ has let down a lot of bettors this season, but there’s no lesson to learn from his shortcomings. At his current price, Johnson is a tasty selection on the betting board.
