Iowa Hawkeyes star Keegan Murray is heading to the Sacramento Kings. The Kings selected Murray with the 4th pick in the first round of the 2022 NBA Draft, grabbing one of the best players available.

Murray is one of the most NBA-ready prospects in the class of 2022. Standing in at 6-foot-8, weighing 225 lbs, the 21-year-old will be ready to make an immediate impact for the Kings.

Last season at Iowa, Murray averaged 23.5 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. He shot 55.4% from the field including an efficient 39.8% from 3-point range, showcasing his ability to get buckets from anywhere on the floor. In addition to his versatility on offense, Murray is capable of covering multiple positions on defense along the frontcourt.

Murray has value as a small-ball center or a 3-and-D player on the wing. He has a terrific shot, evidenced by his 2.4 3-pointers per game last season. If utilized properly by the Kings, they may just have landed themselves the steal of the draft. Murray is physically ready to step into a role for the Kings and they'll be ready to give him big minutes out of the gate.

Murray is one of the older prospects in this years NBA Draft class. Already 21 years old, Murray will be 22 by the time the season gets underway, a few years older than some of his counterparts. While that may have had some teams a bit skeptical, the Kings had no qualms over his age, and are ready for Murray to play a key role in their rotation for the foreseeable future.
