Antonio Brown is a free agent this offseason. His contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was scheduled to expire anyway, but the team released him before the end of the regular season. They cited his dramatic, premature exit in the Buccaneers' Week 17 game in their statement regarding his release.

The talented wide receiver left the Buccaneers' game against the New York Jets at the end of the third quarter. He caused a huge scene, stripping himself of his jersey and pads, running from the sidelines to the field to the tunnel.

Many different explanations for this dramatic exit have surfaced. Brown claims that Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians forced him to play while he was injured. Arians declined those claims, and wide receiver Mike Evans recently gave his perspective on the situation.

Regardless, Brown is on the market and looking for a place of employment. Here are the top three landing spots for AB in the 2022 NFL Free Agency.

Antonio Brown Free Agency Landing Spots

3. The Seattle Seahawks

There aren't many teams that would be willing or capable of dealing with the baggage that comes with Antonio Brown. However, if any team can, it's the Seattle Seahawks. AB's talent is enough for Seattle to look past the antics and drama of his past.

Pete Carroll is the oldest active head coach in the NFL. The 70-year-old has coached in the league since 1984 and has been the head coach of the Seahawks since 2010. In his 11 years with Seattle, Carroll has won a Super Bowl and dealt with countless players from all walks of life.

In other words, if anyone is up to the challenge of getting Brown back on a professional football field, it's Carroll. Plus, his explosive offensive gameplay could be huge for the Seahawks. Russell Wilson has been less than stellar this last few seasons. AB could be exactly what the quarterback needs to get back to his peak performance.

2. The New England Patriots

Alright, I know this one didn't work out before, but hear me out.

The Patriots' leadership is very similar to that of Seattle. Both franchises have extremely experienced and extremely successful head coaches. Bill Belichick is likely the only other coach that is capable of capitalizing on the talents of Brown while managing his problems.

Mac Jones is just beginning his career as a quarterback in the NFL. He had a relatively successful season, but it's clear that he needs more reliable offensive targets moving forward. If the Patriots and Belichick give Brown another chance, he could be a great addition to Jones' offensive artillery.

1. Gap Year

Ultimately, the best situation for Brown is for him to take a year off. He has dealt with numerous injuries recently, including a knee injury and the late-season ankle injury. At 33 years old, Brown needs to focus on healing his body if he wants to have a successful NFL career in the near future.

There is also a concern for AB's mental health, and taking a year off from football might be exactly what he needs to get back to a positive state.
