Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson already expressed his frustrations with the team, several weeks after absorbing another early exit in the 2020 NFL playoffs. He rued that the Seahawks couldn't provide him enough protection which led him to be sacked for a total of 394 times in a span of nine seasons, as per Jason La Canfora.

Moreover, there have been circulating rumors that the Seahawks are trying to scour the market for a potential blockbuster deal for Wilson which eventually irked the quarterback's camp.

The growing speculation may potentially hint at Wilson's departure from Seattle in the weeks to come. Here are the three best destinations for the eight-time Pro Bowler in the event that a blockbuster trade will push through:

3. Washington Football Team

To the league's surprise, the Washington Football Team came out with respectable performances in 2020 despite going through a tumultuous offseason headlined by the franchise's off-field issues. In addition, Washington even sported a prolific offensive line which became a huge asset for their offensive attack all throughout the season.

The production of offensive tackle Cornelius Lucas and offensive guard Wes Schweitzer along with the stellar performances of Brandon Scherff, Chase Roullier, and Morgan Moses eventually compensated for the team's shaky quarterback situation last season.

Moreover, D.C. serves as a viable destination for Russell Wilson since they still haven't secured their starting playmaker heading to 2021. Veteran quarterback Alex Smith has yet to announce if he will continue to play next season after snagging the league's Comeback Player of the Year award. Meanwhile, Taylor Heinicke, who started their Wild Card Round game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is set to become a free agent in the coming offseason.

The promising pieces on the Washington Football Team's roster certainly make the team an interesting trade partner for the Seahawks. In return, Seattle can give them a franchise playmaker in Russell Wilson that will definitely help speed up their rebuilding cause moving forward.

2. Indianapolis Colts

Another team that bannered a strong offensive line last season was the Indianapolis Colts despite sustaining injuries to their key linemen. The combination of offensive guards Quenton Nelson and Zack Martin fortified the unit all throughout the season.

By way of their performance in the trenches, former QB1 Philip Rivers was able to lead his team to a playoff berth with an 11-5 record despite playing at the age of 39. The Colts even gave themselves a chance to win in the Wild Card Round when they posed a huge threat to the Buffalo Bills before succumbing to a narrow 27-24 defeat.

The Indy-based squad could've achieved more if they had a more dynamic playmaker under center. Now that Rivers has already announced his retirement after 17 seasons in the league, the Colts are looking to engage in trades in a bid to land their franchise quarterback for the years to come.

With younger players now at the helm in Indianapolis, a veteran quarterback like Russell Wilson definitely serves as a viable acquisition for the Colts to commence the post-Philip Rivers era next season.

1. San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers didn't look like the team of old as the entire squad was riddled with injuries all throughout their campaign in 2020. However, the team's offensive line remains to be one of the top-performing units in the league.

An eight-time Pro Bowler in offensive tackle Trent Williams continued to banner the 49ers' offensive line and showed no rust after playing in his 11th season in the league. Ben Garland, Daniel Brunskill, and Hroniss Grasu all provided a lift for the team's offense last season.

However, the main problem of the team was its starting quarterback spot. Jimmy Garoppolo failed to make a strong case to retain his job after he missed several games due to a nagging ankle injury. He only appeared in six contests last season and generated 1,096 passing yards on 94 completions and seven touchdowns.

In addition, Garoppolo is also playing on a five-year, $137 million deal signed back in 2018. The 49ers would definitely want to look to move his contract elsewhere since they didn't get to receive significant production from him last season.

Amid Garoppolo's absence on the field, the 49ers were forced to rely on the production of backup gunslinger C.J. Beathard which didn't look too compelling under center as well. San Francisco serves as the top destination for Russell Wilson as they still boast a capable offensive rotation along with a stifling defensive unit.

Being in the pink of health will certainly be key for the 49ers' return to contention next season. However, acquiring a quarterback like Wilson will already give them a headstart and will further increase their odds of making it back to relevance sooner rather than later.
