Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans is one of the best at his position – there's no denying that. He's reached 1,000 yards receiving in all five years. In fact, last season he had a career-best 1,524.

At this point, you have to wonder what else he can do. Evans has peaked at those yards, as well as having separate seasons with a career-best 96 receptions and 12 touchdowns.

The receiver will put up his massive numbers, that's a given. What numbers exactly should he be targeting in 2019 though?

100 Receptions

Mike Evans, Buccaneers

Mike Evans has put up incredible numbers in his career, as I've mentioned. He's had 12 touchdowns in a season twice, and surpassed 1,524 yards last year. However, the receiver's never hit the 100-reception mark.

Evans had 96 receptions in 2016, that's his most ever. Last year he caught 86 passes – the second-most of his career. With all the amazing numbers he's put up, it would be surprising to look back on his career when it's all said and not see a “100” in the receptions column at some point.

What better time than now to lock that 100 reception season in.

16 Games Played

Mike Evans, Buccaneers
CP

Mike Evans has been very strong in the “playing games” category. He's appeared in 15 games three times, and 16 games twice – including last season.

With that in mind, this is definitely an obtainable goal. It's also one he'll need to reach if he wants to hit those 100 receptions.

I could've put yards or touchdowns here. But in reality, he's already put up freaky numbers there. At this point, he's probably not worried about reaching new heights too much. Yes, of course, he'll be hoping to shatter all his old numbers, but no one would be surprised if he found it hard to top 12 touchdowns and 1,524 yards.

That's where the games come in though. In order to tie or break those numbers, a full slate of games is something you'd have to bank on. Let's face it, passing 1,524 yards receiving is hard enough. Doing so in less than 16 games is just ridiculous.

Of course, if the Buccaneers plan on winning games, Evans will need to be healthy. And that leads me to my final number.

10 Wins

Bruce Arians, Mike Evans

Okay, this is a tall task. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers won five games last year – coming in last place in the NFC South. In 2017, they won five games again – once again coming in last place in the NFC South. However, in 2016 they won nine games. It still wasn't enough to make the playoffs, but they did finish second in the NFC South.

You know what might push them into the playoffs in 2019? 10 wins.

Okay, this isn't technically a personal number for Mike Evans. However, it's probably the one he cares about the most. Everyone wants to win, and Evans is definitely no exception. You'd have to imagine he's tired of losing – and 10 wins and a playoff birth would be a great remedy to that.

There's also a pretty obvious connection here. Mike Evans might be the best player on the Buccaneers. If they're going to win – he needs to have a good year. Therefore, you can look at this in a reverse way as well. If the Buccaneers are winning, that likely means Evans put up numbers. It's a win-win for everyone.
