The Memphis Grizzlies are going to be in a very interesting spot for the rest of the season because they have certainly exceeded expectations.

As crazy as it might sound, there is a good chance that this Grizzlies team can make a finals appearance. They have shown throughout the year that there is no reason to believe that they won't make a deep run in the Western Conference playoffs.

Just like every other team in the NBA, there are some questions about this Grizzlies team. Let's take a look at three questions about the Grizzlies for the remainder of the 2022 season.

Grizzlies Questions 2022

3. Do the Grizzlies make a big move at the deadline?

The Grizzlies are going to have an interesting decision to make at the deadline because when looking at their roster, there aren't many guys on their team that they are going to want to get rid of. They could decide to get rid of guys like Tyus Jones, Kyle Anderson, and a few other guys. The reality of the situation is guys like Anderson and Jones help this team out immensely and just do everything that a good pro is supposed to do.

Kyle Anderson and Tyus Jones aren't stars by any means but they know what they are going to get out of both of those guys and they come in and make an impact in what they do.

The reality of the situation is that if the Grizzlies are going to want to compete in the Western Conference playoffs at a high level, they might need to go out and get that second star. They have shown throughout the first half of the season that they don't need that second star to compete with the other best teams in the Western Conference but during playoff time it is a different game.

2. Can Desmond Bane keep playing the way he is?

If Memphis is going to want to continue finding the success that they have had this year, they're going to need Ja Morant to keep playing the way he has and Desmond Bane to keep taking that giant step that he took from last year to this year.

He had an incredible season a year ago as he shot 43% from 3-point range on four attempts per game. What he has been able to do now is just spectacular. His second-year jump has really made a positive impact for this Grizzlies team as he is currently averaging 17.5 points per game while shooting 42% from 3-point range on nearly seven attempts per game.

Bane has done everything for this Grizzlies team and if he can continue playing like this, the Grizzlies are going to be very tough to beat.

At the moment, there is no reason to think that Desmond Bane is going to slow down. He is the X factor for this Grizzlies team but they have to feel confident about what they have seen. He has done a great job this year and he's only just scratching the surface of how good he can really be. Bane is still only twenty-three years old and there are many teams out there who are regretting that they did not take this kid in the draft two years ago.

He's going to be a star in this league one day, and if he can continue playing like this for Memphis, they might be the team to beat in the Western Conference.

1. Does this team have a legit title chance?

At the moment, there is no reason to think that the Memphis Grizzlies do not have a title shot. They have been playing like one of the best teams in basketball. Memphis is currently 30-15 on the year which is the third-best record in all of the NBA.

They have done so with missing their best player Ja Morant for many games and were still able to even find success when he wasn't on the court.

When looking at this Grizzlies team, there could be an argument made that they are lacking that second true star that a championship team does need but they have had some guys step up this year and that leads to them being legit title contenders. They just have a bunch of guys next to Ja Morant who go out there and take care of business.

Guys like Steven Adams, Jaren Jackson Jr, Dillon Brooks, Kyle Anderson, Desmond Bane, and even Zaire Williams have all done a great job for this Grizzlies team this year and have shown that they are a team that nobody is going to want to play this year in the Western Conference playoffs.

The only reason to believe that Memphis potentially doesn't have a title chance is maybe just because they don't have that second true star. As we have seen from the role players this year, they are more than good enough to pick up that slack. This Grizzlies team is very good and they are just scratching the surface of how good this team can really be in the future.
