The Buffalo Bills have had one of the most active off-seasons in the NFL. General manager Brandon Beane has made adding premier talent a priority as he tries to push his roster past the AFC Divisional Round loss they suffered in the 2021 season. Big names like Von Miller and Rodger Saffold have helped shore up positions of need. But Buffalo still has a gaping hole in their roster at running back. That's where the 2022 NFL Draft and Breece Hall come in. Hall is the exact prospect that the Bills should be targeting for a variety of reasons.

Why Breece Hall is the Perfect Fit for the Bills in the 2022 NFL Draft

3. He should be available late in the second round

Taking running backs in the first round has proven itself to be a terrible idea lately. Guys like Saquon Barkley and Clyde Edwards-Helaire have been first-round busts, while others like Ezekiel Elliott and Leonard Fournette look like they were taken far too high. Luckily, the Bills won't have to spend a first on Hall. He should be available well into the second round, as there aren't many teams that need running backs. That means that the Bills would be able to add crucial talent elsewhere with their first-rounder, making Hall even more appealing.

2. He fills a positional need for Bills

It's time for Buffalo to admit that they don't have a starting-caliber running back on the roster. Devin Singletary has performed well at times, but he's nothing special. Zack Moss is a capable goal line back, but he can't play every down. Hall is better than both of those players, and he would give the Bills a real threat on the ground. The Iowa State product is also a good pass-catcher, something that should keep him on the field for all three downs. The draft is really the last chance for Buffalo to upgrade at the position, and Hall is the best man to do it. This pick would be a huge win for the Bills, as they upgrade a position of need immediately at a low cost.

1. He should be able to stay on the field throughout his time in the NFL

Hall handled a heavy workload in college, but it didn't seem to affect him too much. He never missed a single game in his entire college career. He played in every single contest since his rookie season. That's exactly the type of consistency the Bills should be looking for at running back. Other backs who were drafted early have been hammered by injuries, limiting their effectiveness. Singletary has dealt with injuries throughout his career, and the same can be said for Moss. With Hall, the Bills know they're getting a good, tough running back that will seldom miss games. That should make him an extremely appealing pick late into the second round.
