The Dallas Cowboys have already made a lot of changes during this offseason with an entire revamp of the coaching staff. The Cowboys are a very talented team, but on the field, they have been mostly a disappointment.

The good news for the Cowboys heading into the rest of this offseason is they do have a lot of cap space to spend. According to spotrac.com, the Cowboys are projected to have almost $74 million in cap space to spend.

The bad news is they need to pay guys like Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper which might leave them with very little cap space to bring in free agents.

With limited cap space they might have to shop in the bargain bin to try and improve their team. Let's look at three underrated free agents the Cowboys should target.

Marcedes Lewis

New Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy runs a very specific offense, and one of the biggest keys is having a tight end who can block and catch the ball.

During the 2019 season, his stats weren't standout, but he still caught 15 passes for 156 yards and a touchdown for the Green Bay Packers.

He isn't the best blocking tight end out there, but he is solid. He is versatile and that is something that McCarthy could be really drawn to.

Breshad Perriman

Even if the Cowboys bring back Cooper, that can't be enough in terms of weapons out wide. Breshad Perriman is a former first-round draft pick, and even though he hasn't lived up to those expectations, maybe going to the Cowboys would help him.

During the 2019 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he caught 36 passes for 645 yards and six touchdowns. Bringing him to be the third wide receiver would be a big win for the Cowboys.

If Cooper doesn't come back to the Cowboys, the team would probably need to target someone like Robby Anderson or A.J. Green.

Greg Zuerlein

Kai Forbath played well at the end of the 2019 season but he doesn't have the biggest leg, and that is something that is a big problem, especially on kickoffs.

Greg “The Leg” Zuerlein is set to be a free agent this season and if the Rams don't bring him back, the Cowboys need to be offering him a contract as soon as possible.

He would be a big upgrade and should sure up the kicking game, something that has been an issue at times in Dallas.
