The Indianapolis Colts will look to keep their slim playoff hopes alive on “Monday Night Football” against the New Orleans Saints. The Colts are big underdogs in this game and most have counted them out. Even though not many believe this a very winnable game for the Colts if just a few things go their way. Let's breakdown four reasons the Colts can beat the Saints.

4. The Colts have nothing to lose

If the Colts lose this game they might miss out on the playoffs, but this game isn't going to be the reason they miss out when they look back on the season. Some key losses earlier this season against the Miami Dolphins and the Oakland Raiders will be two games that will be brought up.

The Colts really don't have anything to lose in this game so look for them to pull out all of the stops. Fake punts, fake field goals, going for it on their side of the 50—look for the Colts to do anything in their power to pull out a win.

Even if they can't make the playoffs with a win in this game they can play a bit of spoiler for the Saints and they should be extra motivated in front of the world to come away with a win.

3. Saints defense was exposed

The San Francisco 49ers defense is better than the Colts, but what the 49ers were able to do against the Saints has to give them some hope.

Jimmy Garoppolo was able to throw for 349 yards and four touchdowns. This is going to have to be a game where Jacoby Brissett is going to need to take some chances, but against a defense that was exposed he should have some success.

2. Chase McLaughlin

One of the reasons the Colts are in the spot they are in is because they allowed kicker Adam Vinatieri to cost them too many games early in the season. The team finally placed him on injured reserve and brought in Chase McLaughlin, who looks like he can be the long-term option for the team.

McLaughlin knows that he has the job long term and that has given him a sense of relief.

“Yeah, I mean, it’s nice,” McLaughlin told Colts.com this week. “I’m going to get to take a breath and know that I have a few games to kind of get comfortable. But at the end of the day it’s still work; you’ve gotta go out there and make every kick and take advantage of every opportunity.”

McLaughlin went 2-3 on field goals and 3-3 on extra points against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If the Colts need a kick late, McLaughlin should be trusted.

1. The Saints still aren't utilizing one of their best players

Life becomes easier for a defense when a team doesn't use one of their best players to their full potential, and that is the case with the Saints Alvin Kamara.

Kamara is one of the best running backs in the league, and the Saints continue to refuse to use him as much as they should.

In this game if the Saints continue to not use Kamara as much as they should, the Colts can pull off the big upset.
