The San Francisco 49ers have been a vocal organization during the Black Lives Matter movement and they continue to express their support for the cause. In a post on the team's official Instagram account, it was revealed that there is a Black Lives Matter flag flying over Levi's Stadium.

At Levi's Stadium, the 49ers have typically had the California Republic flag and the American flag displayed. However, with the recent events in the United States, San Francisco is standing tall with those that need their voices to be heard.

Of course, with the 49ers being the last team to employ Colin Kaepernick, they've been the center of attention in recent weeks. Kaepernick sacrificed his NFL career to speak out against racial injustices and inequality while he was in San Francisco. His decision to kneel during the national anthem wasn't welcomed by many.

Fast forward to four years after Kaepernick began kneeling and the issues he spoke about are still prevalent. As a result, Jed York — the CEO of the 49ers — donated $1 million to aid in social change last month.

Besides York, head coach Kyle Shanahan also expressed his support for the Black Lives Matter movement. Shanahan believes that everyone is at fault for allowing race issues to reach this point.

The majority of teams in the NFL have discussed ways to create change when it comes to racial injustices. While teams configure ideas on how to incite change, the 49ers are proactively doing their part. Even if that means flying a harmless flag to show their solidarity for the Black Lives Matter movement.
