San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel had himself quite a game for his team on Sunday, as the 49ers defeated the Los Angeles Rams, 24-16, in their Week 6 matchup. Samuel came up with some huge game-sealing run late in the contest, which drew praise from 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan.

It wasn't your run-of-the-mill commendation from Shanahan, as the 40-year-old coach described Samuel's late-game run as one of the best he's ever witnessed:

“That last run that Deebo had was as impressive a run as I’ve ever seen,” Shanahan said, via Curtis Pashelka of The Mercury News. “We blocked it for about seven yards and then three guys just tried to bring it on Deebo. He just stayed up and finished the playing got three more, and allowed us to go out there and take a knee. So, very impressive.”

That's some high praise from Shanahan, who himself has been around the game long enough to see more than a few memorable runs. Nonetheless, he isn't shy about sharing how overly fond he is with Samuel's effort on Sunday.

Deebo appears to be nearing full health after the 24-year-old missed the first four weeks of the season with a foot injury. He also played through an illness in San Francisco's Week 5 43-17 blowout at the hands of the Miami Dolphins. On Sunday, Samuel caught a total of six passes for a 66-yard gain, while also scoring one touchdown.

Their Week 6 win snaps San Francisco's two-game losing streak, and they are now 3-3 to start the season. It's a tough test against the New England Patriots for them coming up in Week 7.
