The San Francisco 49ers were hoping to get George Kittle back in their offense in Week 11, but they'll have to wait at least another week to see his return. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Kittle will not play versus the Arizona Cardinals with knee and ankle injuries.

Two weeks ago, Kittle sustained his injuries against the Cardinals on Thursday Night Football. Despite the injuries, the athletic tight end remained in the game and actually caught a 30-yard touchdown pass from Jimmy Garoppolo.

The following week, Kittle began missing practices due to the injuries and missed his first game of the season in Week 10. San Francisco seems to be taking a cautious approach with arguably their best receiving option.

With Kittle sidelined for the second straight week, Ross Dwelley will draw the start for the 49ers again. Dwelley, a second-year undrafted tight end, finished with three receptions for 24 yards in Week 10 against the Seattle Seahawks.

As a result of Kittle being inactive, the 49ers will likely rely on their rushing attack a bit more. Either way, Garoppolo should have some success against Arizona's 31st-ranked pass defense as well.

Luckily for San Francisco, while Kittle is ruled out, they will have Emmanuel Sanders available on Sunday. Sanders had suffered a rib injury in last week's game against the Seahawks.

Even without Kittle on the field, the 49ers are favored to defeat the Cardinals in Week 11. While he continues to recover, fans in the Bay Area are hoping that he is ready to suit up in Week 12 versus the 8-2 Green Bay Packers.
