After Matt Miller of Bleacher Report reported there has been friction between John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan during the two's first couple of years together both guys have made strong statements denying it. John Lynch said in an interview with 95.7 The Game that the story couldn't be any farther from the truth and that the two sides have a very good relationship with each other.

“The notion we’re not working together couldn’t be further from the truth,” Lynch said on 95.7 The Game via The Mercury News. “We have a tremendous working relationship. We’re great friends off field. There’s a lot of trust. We came into this together knowing there’d be tough times and it wouldn’t be easy, but it would be worth it.

Lynch also said that he loves Shananan and is encouraged in the direction he is taking the team moving forward.

“I can tell Niner fans that, hey, we’re as strong as ever and there’s a lot of trust and faith,” Lynch added. “I feel so great for this organization that they have Kyle Shanahan, a tremendous leader, tremendous mind.

“Our players love him. I love him. We’ve got each other’s back, and that’s all I will say on that. That’s the truth, and as they say, the truth shall set you free.”

Miller said in his Bleacher Report article citing sources within the organization that Shanahan doesn't trust Lynch and his decision making and that has caused issues between the two guys. This is the first that people have reported inside the 49ers and even though both guys deny it. it's a story to follow going forward.
