Even as Russell Wilson has not yet stepped onto the field for a game with the Denver Broncos, he has already won over plenty of his teammates.

Speaking during a press conference on Thursday, Albert Okwuegbunam touched on his early impressions of Wilson so far in the offseason. Overall, the tight end has been wowed with just how the former Seattle Seahawks passer has gone the extra mile to be there for the team’s offensive unit.

“Russ has done a really good job of always having something to say, always having a pointer to anything we’re installing,” Okwuegbunam said. “He always has something to add onto it.”

Since joining the Broncos via the blockbuster trade from the Seahawks earlier in the offseason, Wilson has continued to bond with his Denver teammates. Broncos wideout Courtland Sutton noted in March that after the trade was completed, Wilson quickly created a group chat with the team’s wide receiver corps to simply touch base.

More so, Wilson is also getting close with his new teammates away from the field as well. For one, he took part in a bowling outing with multiple Broncos players earlier in the week.

The Broncos first got a glimpse of the former Super Bowl-winning quarterback during last month's three-day voluntary veteran minicamp. Broncos team officials and the coaching will next see Wilson in action on May 23, when they will kick off their OTA offseason workout schedule.
