The wait is almost over for players who want to test out Battlefield 2042 Open Beta. DICE announced that the game is now available to pre-load before early kicks off on October 6, 2021.

Keep in mind that the Open Beta won’t automatically appear in your game library. In order to access the game, players must access their store’s website. Don’t worry, we got you covered on the links to make it easier for you to find:

Previously we’ve mentioned when the exact dates will be for Battlefield 2042 Open Beta. In case you missed it, we’d like to remind everyone that those who pre-ordered the game will gain early access on October 6, 2021. The Open Beta will then be available to all players come October 8, 2021. It will officially end on October 10, 2021.

Battlefield 2042 Open Beta will feature their signature Conquest mode in the new Orbital Map. Conquest mode features two teams of 64 players, however, the PS4 and Xbox One versions will only feature 32 players. Players should also expect the following four Specialist characters:

  • Boris – Russian Engineer
  • Casper – South African long-range expert
  • Falck – German Medic
  • Mackay – Canadian outdoorsman with a Grapple Gun

PlayStation players won’t need to have a PS Plus membership to access the open beta. Sad to say for Xbox players, you will be needing a Gold subscription to play. It’s going to be an all-out war once the Open Beta officially launches. Pre-load Battlefield 2042 today.
