Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski has been strongly rumored with a move away from the club this summer. With each passing day, that rumor feels more likely to become a reality. On Sunday, Lewandowski's agent, Pini Zahavi, told German outlet BILD that the superstar striker's time with Bayern Munich is over, via Fabrizio Romano.

Zahavi said, “For [Robert] Lewandowski, Bayern is history.”

This will be music to the ears of clubs in the market for a top striker. While it's believed Lewandowski's preferred move would be to join Barcelona, the Catalan side may not have the finances equipped to pull off such a deal. That could open the door for Real Madrid, or perhaps a Premier League club, to join the chase for the Polish striker.

With PSG managing to pull off a miracle and keep Mbappe in Paris, they all but announced their decision to pull out of Bayern Munich's Lewandowski sweepstakes. Real Madrid could be keen on bringing him aboard after failing to land Mbappe and Erling Haaland, though it remains to be seen if the Bayern star is interested in joining Los Blancos.

Lewandowski is an all-time great at Bayern, having been one of the world's most precise strikers over much of the past decade. In 34 matches in the Bundesliga this season, Lewandowski scored 35 goals. Across his 8 seasons at Bayern, Lewandowski has featured in 253 games, starting 238. He's racked up a total of 238 Bundesliga goals alongside 35 assists, consistently achieving ridiculous goalscoring numbers throughout his stay with the club. That appears to be coming to an end, however, and his next chapter awaits, whether it will be at Barca or another club in Europe.
