This will get everyone to forget about the Andy Dalton signing. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Chicago Bears have come to an agreement on a one-year deal with running back Damien Williams.

Williams didn't play last season, choosing to opt-out while after his mother had been diagnosed with cancer.

The former Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs running back have never gotten a full workload in any given season during his six-year career. And he won't be expected to in Chicago with David Montgomery still in the backfield. The addition of Williams provides depth at the position and someone the Bears can rely on to give a few touches to each game if that's the route they want to go.

Williams's name really burst onto the scene after his remarkable performance in the Super Bowl two years ago. In the win over the San Francisco 49ers to claim the championship, Williams had 17 carries for 104 yards and one touchdown rushing while also contributing 4 catches for 29 yards and a receiving touchdown. He was set to take on a larger role in the Chiefs offense last season before ultimately opting out.

The new Bears running back's most productive season also came in 2019, when he rushed 111 times during the regular season for 498 yards and 5 touchdowns. At just age 28 and coming off a season away from the game, Williams should have a fresh motor entering the 2021 season.

He spent four seasons in Miami, two season in Kansas City and now, Damien Williams will be headed towards a season in Chicago.
