The 2019 NFL regular season will officially get underway on Thursday when the Chicago Bears host the Green Bay Packers. Real football is right around the corner, and we'll get two of the league's most storied franchises kicking off its 100th season.

We'll also get to see two of the league's best players square off against each other in Aaron Rodgers and Khalil Mack.

When asked recently what his favorite part of this NFC North rivalry was, Mack replied simply “sacking Aaron Rodgers,” per Jason Lieser of the Chicago Sun-Times.

Just like last year, Mack will have the chance to get after Rodgers in the very first game. When these two teams played in Week 1 of the 2018 season, it was Mack's first game with the Bears after getting traded from the Raiders.

Not only did he sack Rodgers, but he also had a forced fumble and an interception that he returned 27 yards for a touchdown. It was a dominant debut and one that Rodgers is certainly going to remember.

Unfortunately for the Bears Mack's performance wasn't enough to lead them to a win, as Rodgers led a miraculous comeback in the second half to propel Green Bay to victory.

When these teams played again in Week 15, Mack had another great game, racking up 2.5 sacks on Rodgers. Both teams have high hopes for 2019, and both have their eyes on the division title.

The Packers have a new coach and offensive system with Matt LaFleur. One of his priorities on offense will need to be slowing down Mack and keeping Rodgers upright.
