Over the last several days, the Chicago Bears have had many questions concerning the status of second-year quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, who is dealing with a nagging shoulder injury. With a primetime matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on tap for Week 14 action on Sunday night, head coach Matt Nagy voiced that he's confident Trubisky will be on the field for the contest, according to Larry Mayer of Chicagobears.com.

Trubisky made progress in his recovery from the injury prior to last Sunday's game against the New York Giants, but the team elected to roll with backup Chase Daniels for one more game. The Bears were also likely siding with precaution in order to allow Trubisky's body to heal a bit more before putting him on the field where he could possibly aggravate the injury.

His return to the mix will provide the offense with a significant boost, as he has shown some encouraging growth his play this season under Nagy. Trubisky has worked efficiently with both his arm and legs to help move the ball down the field, making the Bears one of the highest scoring teams in the league at fifth with 28.7 points per contest.

Although the Rams struggled at times defensively this season, the team has plenty of playmakers on that side of the ball that could present challenges to the Bears. This is headlined by the play of star defensive tackle Aaron Donald, who is putting together another impressive campaign with a league-leading 16.5 sacks. Meanwhile, their secondary has seen the return of Pro Bowl cornerback Aqib Talib, providing a boost to that unit.

Chicago has a tough matchup ahead this upcoming Sunday, but it looks like they will have Trubisky back in the fold for it.
