The Monday Night game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers was undoubtedly the most physical game in the 2017 NFL season. To no surprise, both teams suffered some key casualties as a result.

The last thing the Bengals needed in the final stretch of the year was to lose another starter. According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Bengals have placed veteran cornerback Adam Jones on the injured reserve after suffering a groin injury, effectively ending his 11th season in the NFL.

Jones had sustained the injury during his interception in the first quarter versus the Steelers. Unfortunately, it is just the latest in a tumultuous season for the veteran corner. Jones recorded 19 tackles, one interception, and four pass deflections while appearing in nine of the team's 12 games.

Fortunately, Cincinnati has some solid depth at the cornerback position. Jones just so happened to be the Bengals' least used corner this year behind Dre Kirkpatrick, William Jackson, and Darqueze Dennard. Still, Cincinnati has since promoted cornerback Tony McRae from the practice squad.

As a result, Jones' future with the Bengals beyond the 2017 NFL seasons does not look bright. Furthermore, the latest injury, combined with his troublesome track record leaves question as to whether he may have played the last game of his career.
