Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver A.J. Green has a “good chance” of playing this Sunday against the Cleveland Browns:

Green has not played since a 37-34 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 8 due to his right toe injury. He avoided surgery for the injury, but he was in a boot at one point and wasn't expected back on the field until December.

Andy Dalton and the Bengals would certainly love to have Green back on the field this Sunday. Cincinnati has scuffled without the stud wide receiver in the lineup, first getting walloped 51-14 by the New Orleans Saints and then losing 24-21 against the Baltimore Ravens this past weekend. Dalton was awful in the Saints loss and just okay against the Ravens, clearly missing his top target.

Before going on the shelf, Green caught 45 passes for 687 yards and six touchdowns. Those six scores lead the Bengals, though Tyler Boyd is currently leading the team in receptions (56) and yards (756) thanks to Green's absence.

A.J. Green has gone over 1,000 yards in six of his seven NFL seasons. The only time he didn't was in 2016 when he racked up 964 yards in only 10 games, so he would've easily gone over the 1,000-yard mark if he played more games. He has consistently been one of the best wide receivers in the NFL throughout his career.

The Bengals are 5-5 on the season after their two consecutive losses, which is tied with Baltimore. Both teams are chasing the 7-2-1 Pittsburgh Steelers. The Browns are bringing up the rear in the AFC North with a 3-6-1 record.
