With Super Bowl 56 just around the corner, Cris Collinsworth gave high praise to Cincinnati Bengals rookie wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase, declaring him the best wide receiver in franchise history. Despite the fact that Chase is just a rookie, Collinsworth has been beyond impressed with his play and already handed him the Bengals' crown. Well, Chad Johnson doesn't seem to fully agree with Collinsworth's take, likely still believing he deserves that title for himself, and he issued a response via Twitter.

Johnson just sent a gorilla emoji in his response to Collinsworth's hot take, signifying he's not quite on board with the broadcaster and former Bengals wide receiver's analysis.

Collinsworth gave the nod to Chase over several talented Bengals receivers, including the likes of franchise legends Johnson and A.J. Green. Even Collinsworth himself was a three-time Pro Bowler for the Bengals, but he still would take Chase over any of the aforementioned players.

While Chase had a historic rookie season that saw the No. 5 overall pick rack up 81 receptions for 1,455 yards and 13 touchdown grabs, it's still extremely early to put him ahead of Johnson and Green in terms of Bengals' greats.

Johnson played 10 years for the Bengals, catching 751 receptions, for more than 10,000 yards, and 66 touchdown catches. While he didn't have an individual season quite as dominant as the one Chase turned in as a rookie, his longevity in terms of being an elite wideout can't be ignored. Chase still has a long way to go before he can take the title from Ochocinco, though if you ask Collinsworth, the broadcaster has already seen enough from the 21-year-old to make his hot take.
