Joe Burrow is the real deal. In just his second year in the league, the Cincinnati Bengals has led his franchise to the Super Bowl. His performances prove that the hype surrounding him during his draft is legitimate.

Just as legitimate as the diamonds on his chain, as he says. In his postgame interview, Joe Burrow was asked about the diamond chain he was wearing at that time. The Bengals QB assured the reporter that yes, the diamonds were legit, because: (via Ari Meirov)

“They're definitely real. I make too much money to have fake ones.”

Burrow has quickly become a fan favorite even for non-Bengals fans. The second-year quarterback's charismatic personality and confidence has been a breath of fresh air for football fans. It helps that he's been actually great in these playoffs, leading the franchise to their first Super Bowl appearance since 1989.

Against the Chiefs, Burrow and the Bengals proved they weren't fake contenders. Despite going down by as many as 18 points at the end of the first half, the team didn't falter on both sides of the ball. Burrow made two highlights himself as he went on two clutch third down runs to keep their drive alive. They stormed all the way back to lead 24 – 21, and stuffed the Chiefs defense to force them to a field goal in the final drive.

In the end, it was rookie kicker Evan McPherson's leg in overtime that sent the Bengals to the Super Bowl this season. Cincinnati's chance to win their first Super Bowl in franchise history is just as real as Joe Burrow's diamond chains. They'll have plenty of time to prepare for their eventual NFC opponents.
