Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is preparing for a massive AFC Championship clash with the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday and before he even steps on the field, Burrow has already made history.

Per NFL on CBS, the Bengals star is the first QB ever to be selected as the top pick in the draft then start a conference title game within two seasons. That's right, not even Peyton Manning pulled it off:

That just goes to show the immediate impact Burrow has had in Cincinnati. While his rookie year was cut short due to injury, the former LSU standout stormed back with a vengeance this season, leading the Bengals to an AFC North crown with a 10-7 record.

The LSU combination of Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase have been wreaking havoc in 2021 and they're already 6-0 in playoff games dating back to their college days with the Tigers. Chase is undoubtedly a favorite to win Rookie of the Year and continues to be Burrow's favorite target on a weekly basis.

The Bengals will have a tall task ahead though as the Chiefs look to advance to their third-straight Super Bowl. But as we've seen in the postseason thus far, truly anything is possible. It's going to be one heck of a ride at Arrowhead and hopefully, Burrow can lead Cincy to their first Super Bowl since 1989.
