With the Cincinnati Bengals still looking for their first win, Zac Taylor has made the decision to replace Andy Dalton with rookie Ryan Finley. Following the decision, Tyler Boyd doesn't think that Dalton is to blame for Cincinnati's struggles.

“Nothing seems to be going right this season,” receiver Tyler Boyd said, via Geoff Hobson of the team website. “It’s not Andy’s fault. There are plays he wishes he had back out there and every guy in this locker room feels the same way. The quarterback is just the most pressured position. I praise Andy for doing what he’s done here. He’s got great numbers. A Pro Bowler. He’s a No. 1 quarterback in my eyes.”

Boyd has spent three and a half seasons with Dalton and knows just how good he can be at times. Along with that, he should also know how bad the TCU product can be in certain moments.

Through the first eight weeks, Dalton has thrown for 2,252 yards, nine touchdowns, and eight interceptions. Furthermore, he is fourth in the NFL in passing yards and first in passes completed and attempted.

At the same time, the veteran signal-caller is third in the NFL in interceptions thrown. Also, with the Bengals having literally nothing to lose, it is time for the team to see what they have in Finley.

The Bengals selected Finley in the fourth round of this year's draft out of North Carolina State. During training camp and the preseason, Cincinnati's rookie quarterback impressed the coaching staff. He will get his first career start in Week 10 against the Baltimore Ravens.
