Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd didn't beat around the bush when asked about the team's performance on Monday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

“We got embarrassed,” Boyd said via ESPN. “Straight like that. It sucks.”

Boyd has been of the bright spots this season for the Bengals, but he didn't get many chances on Monday catching only three passes for 33 yards. Andy Dalton was under constant pressure all night, and it didn't give him many chances to look for his receivers.

When the Bengals hired head coach Zac Taylor, there was hope this season would be different, but so far that hasn't proven to be the case.

“We didn't expect to be an 0-4 team, but that's what we are right now,” Taylor said. “There's no excuses we can make.”

The Bengals have only won two of their last 15 games dating back to last year, and Taylor says the struggles this year all start with him.

“To be quite honest, it starts with me,” Taylor said. “I've got to make sure the standard is higher than what it is right now because I haven't done a good enough job and there's certainly things that I've got to improve on.”

The Bengals schedule doesn't get any easier, and Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals might be the last game they are favored in.

The Miami Dolphins and the Bengals face off Week 16, and that could be the losers Super Bowl with both teams looking for their first win and maybe only win.
