The Buffalo Bills could look to add a running back in the 2020 NFL Draft despite Devin Singletary entering his second season with the team. While speaking about the possibility of selecting a running back, Brandon Beane, the GM of the Bills, praised Singletary and called him “unselfish.”

“I think Devin can do either or. He’s an unselfish player,” Beane said, via Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk. “If we want him to be the workload guy, I think he could definitely do it. I think Year Two is going to be better for him.”

During last year's draft, the Bills took Singletary with the 74th overall pick. Even though he shared touches with veteran Frank Gore, Singletary still finished with 775 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground. The Florida Atlantic product also hauled in 29 receptions for 194 yards and another two scores.

However, a hamstring injury caused Singletary to be sidelined for four games earlier in the season. Beane was quick to point out that he believes the rookie rusher would have garnered 1,000 yards had he been healthy all season.

With Gore no longer on the roster, the Bills could be in the market for a running back in this year's draft. Seeing that Buffalo doesn't have a first-round pick, it's likely that they would target one in the later rounds.

Also, it's important to note that the Bills have T.J. Yeldon and Taiwan Jones on the roster. Regardless of what Buffalo ends up doing, Beane seems to be confident in Singletary as a workhorse back if that is the route they choose to take.
