After months of speculation of where the Pittsburgh Steelers will trade disgruntled star wide receiver Antonio Brown, the Buffalo Bills are reportedly “closing in” on a deal to acquire the 7-time Pro Bowler.

Just don't tell that to Brown.

Shortly after news of the trade surfaced, the NFL's official Instagram account posted a graphic about the deal, to which Brown replied “fake news.”

Rapoport acknowledged that there still “are things to work out,” so perhaps Brown isn't willing to believe it until the deal is finalized. Adding fuel to the fire is long-time Bills writer Vic Carucci, who says that a trade is “not imminent.”

If the deal does happen, there is some speculation that the Steelers are acquiring a future pick or that they're swapping their 20th overall pick in this year's NFL Draft for Buffalo's 9th overall selection.

With Brown, the Bills would get one of the best receivers in the game to team up with their now second-year quarterback Josh Allen. It was an up-and-down season for the Wyoming product, highlighted by a shocking upset victory over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 3.

Acquiring Brown doesn't solve all of Buffalo's problems, but it does give them one of the most dynamic playmakers in the NFL, and given how their defense performed in 2018, it might not take much from the offense for the Bills to be much better come Week 1 in September. While they gave up the 18th most points in the league, Buffalo's defense finished second in yards against while holding opponents to the fewest pass yards in the NFL.
