There will be a homecoming of sorts for Indianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich when they visit the Buffalo Bills for their encounter in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. During his playing years, Reich primarily served as a back-up quarterback to Hall of Famer Jim Kelly with the Bills from 1985 to 1994.

“Love Frank like a brother but I'm a Bill and Chad's not there anymore,” Kelly said via KSL.

“Oh, he's cutting me deep with that one. I would expect nothing less. I love Jim as well. He is a brother to me. I truly understand his loyalties to the Bills and I greatly respect that,” Reich responded.

The Colts head coach also managed to make a name for himself in Buffalo when he led a miraculous comeback against the Houston Oilers back in 1993 to spark their journey to their third-straight AFC title.

Midway through the tilt, Reich slotted in for the injured Kelly and went on to take the team on his back. With the Oilers leading 35-3, Reich eventually led his team to score four touchdowns in seven minutes to earn a come from behind victory over the Oilers.

The memorable comeback eventually made Reich known in all of Buffalo and he will aim to pull off an upset once again as he faces the favored Bills as the head coach of the Colts this time around.

However, the current Bills squad is also a tough opponent to deal with. Buffalo, led by its quarterback in Josh Allen, has already gained momentum heading to the playoffs with a six-game winning streak to end the regular season with a 13-3 record.

Despite the odds, Frank Reich will hope that he can lead his team to pull the rug and deal a heartbreaker for his former team in the must-win game on Jan. 9.
