Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy's wallet is a bit lighter after being ordered to pay $55,000 to an officer that was hurt in a bar fight in 2016. According to ESPN, this is a result of binding arbitration that happened earlier this year, and that McCoy has already paid the money owed.

This all stems from a fight that happened on February 7th, 2016 when individuals from McCoy's party argued with an off-duty cop at a bar about who ordered a bottle of champagne.

According to the arbitrator Annette Rizzo, a fight broke out and Roland Rizzo was taken to the ground and hit multiple times.

Butler, Rizzo wrote, was “taken to the ground and punched and kicked multiple times, sustaining injury, including, but not limited, to a broken nose, lacerations to the face, broken ribs, a broken thumb and contusions.”

A video obtained by TMZ of the incident appears to show McCoy striking in the direction of Butler while on the ground.

After the incident, McCoy and the rest of the party were looked at for criminal charges but none were ever brought forward.

“There is insufficient evidence to prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, who started the fight and under what circumstances,” Philadelphia district attorney Seth Williams said at the time, adding that it was impossible to determine whether the participants acted in self-defense.

This now ends a three-year legal battle that McCoy has been wrapped up in, and now hopefully the focus can get back to just playing football and getting back to his old ways with the Bills.
