Stefon Diggs is undoubtedly the top option downfield for Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills' passing attack, but the wide receiver knows he's not the only huge threat for opposing defenses. Diggs recently spoke about his Bills teammate and fellow wideout Gabriel Davis and judging by his words, the rest of the league should be ready for a big season coming up for the 2020 fourth-round Buffalo pick.

Via Jay Skurski of Buffalo News:

“I won’t put a ceiling on Gabriel Davis,” Diggs said. “I can’t say how good that he’ll be because he’s already displayed that he can play. Flat out, he can play. He can make plays at a high level. He can catch contested balls, he’s a big receiver, he can run. So he has all the intangibles of being, (expletive), one of the best receivers in this game.

While not as mainstream as Diggs, Davis has certainly shown the Bills why he is a dependable target for Allen — and one with a potential to get even more lethal offensively. In the 2021 NFL season, Davis was only fifth among Bills players in terms of targets (63) but managed to come away with six touchdowns on 35 receptions. With Cole Beasley and Emmanuel Sanders  — second and third last season in target share — there is clearly a big room for Davis to fill and it's an opportunity Diggs believes that his teammate will seize.

It's apparent how much Allen trusts Davis, as all of the latter's touchdown catches came on passes from inside the red zone during the 2021 season. And that showed even in the playoffs. In the memorable AFC Divisional Playoffs showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs, Davis was almost everything the Bills had downfield, as he paced Buffalo with 201 receiving yards and four touchdowns on eight catches and 10 targets.

Davis will not be a free agent until the end of the 2023 season but another strong campaign in 2022 could get the ball rolling on potential massive extension talks.
