Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard is one of the few remaining lifers in the NBA. He's been with the Blazers — the team that drafted him as the sixth overall pick in 2012 — for nine seasons now, and he's already indicated multiple times in the past that he wants to see out his entire career in Portland.

As such, it does not come as a surprise that Lillard has a bit of a hot take when it comes to the growing trend of NBA super teams. He's mentioned this before, but the 30-year-old recently reiterated that he has no qualms against stars deciding to join forces on a single team, but Lillard also reiterated that this just isn't his style:

“It’s forcing dudes to be like well, I’m going to go play with this person or if I get with this person,” Lillard explained, via Lindsey Wisniewski of NBC Sports. “But to me, like, if that’s what they want to do, I don’t got no problem with it, it’s whatever…

“But for me personally, that’s just not something I can do. I’d rather go out there and put my best foot forward and lose before I do that, because I know I can win if I do that.”

It is worth noting, though, that what Lillard seems to be implying here is that he has no intentions of leaving Portland to jump at the opportunity to team up with another superstar on a different team. Then again, his thoughts differ on the possibility of the Blazers bringing a second superstar to the team. We're thinking Lillard is not the type that would say no if the front office somehow manages to bring a guy like Bradley Beal or Ben Simmons to Portland.
